Exporting a presentation as a video

The Create a Video feature is a powerful tool for asynchronous communication, allowing your viewers to engage with your content at their own convenience. Presenting your slide show online

Did you know that your audience can view your live presentation even if they don't have PowerPoint installed? Online presenting is a remarkably accessible feature that requires only an Internet connection and a web browser for your viewers. This allows you to host real-time sessions for remote teams or international clients with ease.

Operational Constraints: Note that during an online broadcast, you cannot use real-time editing tools, highlighters, or pens. Furthermore, PowerPoint does not transmit live audio; you must coordinate via a teleconference or use pre-recorded narration.

To present online:

  1. Navigate to the Slide Show tab.
  2. Locate the Start Slide Show group and click the Present Online command.
  3. Initiating the Present Online command
  4. In the resulting dialog box, click Connect. PowerPoint will now prepare your session on the broadcast server.
  5. Connecting to the presentation service
  6. A unique broadcast link will be generated. Click Copy Link to distribute this URL via email, social media, or internal messaging apps.
  7. Copying the broadcast link
  8. Click Start Presentation to begin your live session.
  9. Control the slides as you would in a traditional room setting. When your session concludes, click End Online Presentation on the Ribbon.
  10. Terminating the broadcast
  11. A final confirmation dialog will appear; click End Online Presentation once more to disconnect your viewers.
  12. Final broadcast termination
