When working on a document in Microsoft Word, mistakes can happen. For example, you might accidentally delete some text. Thankfully, Word offers the Undo feature to help fix such errors.
Using Undo:
-
Quick Access Toolbar: At the top-left corner of Word, there's a curved arrow pointing left. Clicking this Undo button will reverse your last action.
-
Keyboard Shortcut: Pressing
Ctrl + Z
on your keyboard achieves the same result.
You can use Undo multiple times to go back through your recent changes. This is especially useful if you've made several edits and want to revert them step by step.
Using Redo:
If you undo an action and then decide you want to keep it, the Redo feature restores it.
-
Quick Access Toolbar: Next to the Undo button, there's a curved arrow pointing right. Clicking this Redo button will reinstate the action you just undid.
-
Keyboard Shortcut: Pressing
Ctrl + Y
on your keyboard performs the redo action.
Understanding and using these features can make editing documents in Word more efficient and less stressful.
