A baby is the very young offspring of humans, typically characterized by complete dependence on caregivers for survival, nourishment, and comfort. Babies go through rapid physical and cognitive development, learning to interact with their surroundings through sight, sound, touch, and movement. A newborn, more specifically, is an infant who is only a few hours to a few weeks old, having just entered the world. During this early stage, the newborn relies entirely on parental care for feeding, warmth, and protection, and begins to adapt to life outside the womb. Newborns experience frequent sleep cycles, reflexive movements, and early bonding behaviors, all of which play a crucial role in their immediate survival and long-term development.
